THE SCHOOL IS PARTIALLY OPEN FOR CRITICAL KEY WORKING FAMILIES AND VULNERABLE CHILDREN

Dear parents and carers,

Thank you to those who sent kind comments after they received my letter on Friday evening. All staff members in every White Horse Federation school are making preparations for reopening in June. As we prepare to reopen our secondary schools to children in years 10 and 12, we need to gather indicative numbers from parents and carers who intend for their child to return.

Regardless of your choice to send / not send your child(ren), please ensure you complete this very short survey if they are in years 10 and 12 to help us prepare. [Click Here]

If you want your child(ren) to attend school when we reopen, we will send you an online booking form in the coming week that you will be expected to complete. This will confirm that your child(ren) will be attending school when we reopen. If you choose not to send your child(ren) to school, this is entirely your choice and no punitive action will be taken.

When we reopen schools, we will make every effort to mitigate any risks to children, staff, and families. Here are some of the conditions and circumstances that we will be putting into our schools in preparation for reopening:

• We will only be open for non-key worker and non-vulnerable children in year 10 and year 12 for two consecutive days a week for face-to-face teaching.

• We will continue to be open for children of critical key workers and for vulnerable children regardless of year group for five days a week.

• For all children in other year groups, the online home learning offer will continue as usual.
