Our anniversary celebration earlier this month was a truly special occasion. Staff, students, and members of the school community, both past and present, came together to celebrate the 50th anniversary of our wonderful school.
During what was an unforgettable event, we revelled in the long and rich history of Devizes School and fondly reminisced about times gone by.
We are proud that we could also celebrate more recent successes, such as the record-breaking KS4 results of last year’s cohort and the praise we received from Ofsted in April. In fact, continuing the legacy of success at Devizes School is something that is always at the forefront of our thinking and decision-making.
Having seen the joy and delight this school has given so many people over the years, we grew increasingly excited about what the next 50 years have in store for Devizes School. The future, as they say, is bright.
In the coming weeks and months, we’ll be turning our attention toward the local community and how we can further enhance our role within it. We want to follow a path where Devizes School gives back to local community initiatives, invests in its own facilities to support continued improvement in attainment, and provides an even richer learning experience for the young people of Devizes.
When the Devizes community came together earlier this month, it emphasised just how integral our school is to everyone in the area, as well as those who have once called Devizes home.
As we move onto the next stage of the school’s development, it is our goal to make sure Devizes School is still a pillar of the community in 50 years time, and that future generations have as much pride in the school as everyone who attended the celebration on 5th October.
