GCSE Results Day 2021: A message from Julian Morgan, Principal of Devizes School

I would like to give a big congratulations to all our students receiving GCSE results today.

It cannot be underestimated how hard our young people have worked over the last eighteen months. The sheer determination and resilience they have shown throughout has really impressed me as has their ability to adapt to every situation they have faced.

Each and every one of them should be so proud of themselves and I wish them the best of luck in whichever path they choose next.

I would also like to express my gratitude to our staff who have worked tirelessly to support and guide our students to where they are today -celebrating their tremendous achievements.

Our parents and wider school community have also done the school proud over the last eighteen months, and they equally deserve a big thanks for their continued support.

Staff remain available to provide advice and support for those seeking additional assistance, whether they are assessing their options at our sixth form, or looking for other post-16 educational opportunities.

With September approaching, we are looking forward to welcoming all our students back, and introducing our new year 12s to our sixth form campus at Devizes and Lavington.

In the meantime, I wish you all the best and have a fantastic summer break!

Julian Morgan, Principal
