SIXTH FORM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
To pursue A levels you will need a minimum of 5 grade Cs at GCSE or equivalent. These grades must come from at least 4 different subjects. They will usually have to include anA*, A or B in your chosen subjects.
The normal course load is four subjects at AS dropping to three in Year 13. Some of the applied A levels can be taken as Double or Single Awards. A Double Award is the equivalent of two A levels and therefore has twice the timetable allocation.
HOW TO APPLY
1. Read the Sixth Form Prospectus carefully.
2. Talk to your current teachers about the courses, your suitability for them and ensure each teacher completes a recommendation code in the subject choices table, on the application form.
3. Apply to enter Devizes Sixth Form by filling in the application form and sending it together with the signed Sixth Form Student Standards Document to:

Careful choices at this stage will help reduce the likelihood of having to change courses in the future. Consult both the prospectus and your teachers regarding the course offer below. For applied A levels, if you wish to do the Single Award you should select that option only. If choosing the Double Award you must select both options.
