Hello, I’m Andy Bills and I’ve recently been selected to be one of the four senior students at Devizes School. I have been at Devizes for my entire Secondary education duration which ranges from year 7 to 11 and I’m now currently studying Maths mechanics, Physics, Resistant Materials and Geography at A level in Sixth form. My aim is to go to university to study civil or aerospace engineering as I have a keen interest in this field and feel I would be successful in it. In my first year at Sixth Form a have been the house captain for Gandhi house after being vice captain in year 10 and 11, I believe this role has helped me to become a more mature person by making me develop as respected student. I enjoy a variety of different sports which during my time at Devizes School have included; Rugby, Cricket, Hockey and a variety of other fun games. In my spare time I help to coach rugby in after school clubs and also at the local rugby club which has helped me to improve my skills in helping others to succeed. As a senior student I am excited about the roles that are burdened with it, in particular the opportunity to work with staff and pupils to make sure that Devizes School continues to be a friendly environment for staff and pupils.

Hi, I’m Hannah Ridgway and I’m honoured to be one of the four Senior Students representing Devizes School. I have been a part of Devizes School since year 7 and have seen the School progress over the years, quite substantially. Of that I am quite proud and of the fact that it shall continue to progress for a long time to come. Currently, I am studying Mathematics with Statistics, Biology, English Language and Art, with the strong intention of furthering my education by studying Psychology at Degree level. During the first year of Sixth Form I was House Captain for Teresa House and I was also a member of the Sixth Form Committee. I have enjoyed these roles and shall continue to be a part of the Committee throughout my second year. I am very passionate about higher education and feel it’s a pathway most should follow. Therefore I am very much looking forward to working alongside both the staff and the students to ensure that more individuals embark on this path.

Hi, I’m Lucy Baross and I am one of the four Senior Students that represent Devizes School. I have been at Devizes School since year 7 and I have thoroughly enjoyed my 6 years. During my time at Devizes School I believe the school has given me and fellow students the opportunities and skills to achieve highly academically whilst also gaining confidence and maturity. I am currently studying Biology, Geography, Physical Education and Spanish with the intention to study Physiotherapy or Physical Education teaching at University. Outside of School I participate in a variety of sporting activities such as netball and karate. I also coach Athletics at the local athletics club which use the facilities of Devizes School. This year I have taken on the role of King House Captain where I am proud to be a role model to younger year groups. In taking this role as Senior Student I hope to work alongside staff and other students to encourage the continual positive progression of the school and inspire students of all ages to achieve their full potential into the future. Although there are challenges, I hope that my enthusiastic determination will repay the school for the support and enjoyment that I have received.

Hello, I'm Yasmin Boudebza and I am proud to be one of the four newly appointed senior students representing Devizes School. I am currently studying Maths with Statistics, Biology, Chemistry and Photography. After sixth form I intend to continue my education by going to university. Beyond this I hope to have a career in the medical profession. I joined Devizes School in year 7 and I’ve enjoyed my time here. Devizes School has a great learning environment and has helped me develop into a mature, confident young adult. All the teachers take the trouble to get to know each student as an individual and are always there to help you if needed. In Devizes School we are very lucky with the clubs and activities we have available. I have always enjoyed taking part in the netball and umpiring of games. In my leisure time I like reading, watching films and, of course, shopping. I am looking forward to taking on the senior student responsibilities as this will enable me to give something back, to help Devizes School continue to develop and to help pave the way for students who come through the school after me to have the same enjoyable experience.
