| Jewellery |
Pupils who have had their ears pierced may wear one small, plain stud/sleepe in each ear. No rings or studs are permitted in any other part of the body which may have been pierced. Any excess jewellery will be confiscated by the teacher. It will be placed in a sealed named envelope and given to the Head of Year who will store it until a parent makes an appointment to collect it. If a parent is unable to collect it, the item(s) will be returned to the pupil on the penultimate Friday of the term. Although reasonable care will be taken with the item, the school will not accept any responsibility for any damage or loss. Items will be retained for three months. After this time the school will assume that parents do not wish to reclaim them and they will be destroyed. IF A PUPIL HAS AN ITEM OF JEWELLERY WHICH THEY VALUE THEY SHOULD NOT BRING IT INTO SCHOOL. |
| Make-up/ Nail Varnish |
Make-up and nail varnish are unsuitable for school and should not be worn. |
| Hair |
Hair should not be worn in a style which has the effect of drawing attention to the pupil. Any concerns will be referred to their Head of Year/Deputy Head. |
A purse belt is recommended. Please do not let your child bring large sums of money to school. If this is unavoidable, e.g. in an emergency, then such money should be handed to the Pupil Receptionist for safe-keeping.
