Welcome to Devizes Xtra!

Welcome to the second year of Devizes Xtra. There are lots of new clubs as well as plenty of existing ones. Use the booklet to select your club and then log on to the Virtual Learning Environment to sign up by he end of the first week back in September 2008, 3rd to the 5th.

New for this year: All sporting ‘team’ game clubs are focusing on providing match opportunities for all pupils in the second half of training. So even if you are not in the school team you will get the opportunity to play matches in your chosen activities. If there are enough players then house matches can be started. Go on, have a go.

What you need to do

• Read the booklet and see which activities interest you.
• Check if it is for your year group and when it is on.
• Plan your year using the planner.
• Talk to your parents about your choices and the required commitment.
• Bookings will be made every two terms.
• Once you are sure what you want to do for the first two terms log on to the Devizes School VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) and choose the hyperlink asking you to choose your Devizes Xtra options for Terms 1 and 2. Then just follow the instructions and choose your options.

Expectations

• By signing up on the VLE you have made a firm commitment to attend. Attendance will be monitored.
• Normal school behaviour rules apply.
• If you are a member of a squad then we expect you to attend training.
