Our third annual 'Open House' event was once again a huge success, we welcomed record breaking numbers of visitors to our school on Saturday. John Girvan once again led the way with his cellar tours which proved popular and were full to capacity all day. Everyone enjoyed being entertained by Mac's Theatre School in the afternoon who presented a showcase of songs from the musicals. Members of the theatre school and 'Mini Macs' ranged from age 5 to 17 and were outstanding! Both performances attracted a full hall of people. Our WW1 tearoom run by suffragettes proved more popular than previous years, homemade cake was on sale along with tea and coffee, by the end of the afternoon just a small plateful of cake remained. Ex students young and old enjoyed looking at the fantastic old yearbooks and memorabilia on display and many managed to find themselves in the books.
A really successful day supported by many of the public, lots who had never visited our school before.
